Join us for Volunteer Appreciation Day!

More than just a shelter, The Haven’s goal is to give our families hope. We surely couldn’t do it without the support of our community. To show our thanks, we’re inviting our volunteers for lemonade on the porch.

Why do families become homeless?

Families who seek shelter have no financial resources or supportive network. Mitigating factors of family homelessness include loss of employment, lack of education, untreated medical and/or mental health issues, substance abuse and addiction, past traumas and family violence. Often homeless families enter shelter with just the clothes on their backs.
